The city you will feel like home

This is not a tourist slogan but the truth. We are not only referring to the well-known Serbian hospitality that seems to grow with the number of kilometers our guest has made to come to Belgrade. Belgrade is an unusual mosaic built up by centuries of overlapping civilizations in which everyone finds at least something that reminds him of home, obviously wrapped up in the inimitable Belgrade charm.

There is no place in the world with such a natural combination of oriental passion and European finesse. Having stood on the path of many conquests going both from the East and from the West, Belgrade has been repeatedly destroyed and rebuilt, and does not have the continuity of style and the elegance of similar European big cities. On the other hand, it has abundant vitality, sense of humor, curiosity. That’s why you will never get bored in Belgrade!

We Recommend:

City Center

A walk through the city center includes: Square of the Republic Link.gif (Trg Republike) with Monument to Prince Mihailo, National Theatre, National Museum, the building of „Ruski Car“ Hotel, as well as a promenade through Knez Mihailova Street Link.gif, the main Belgrade pedestrian street comprising many shops and cafés. Near by, you can see the Serbian Parliament Building (formerly known as Yugoslav Federal Parliament), the Monument to Nikola Pašić, City Council Building and the Museum of the History of Yugoslavia.

The Kalemegdan Fortress Link.gif

Places to see: Victor Monument, Military Museum, Kalemegdan Park, Gratitude to France Monument, Belgrade Zoo. If you wish to enjoy the beautiful view over the confluence of the rivers Sava and Danube, we recommend dinner in a famous restaurant Kalemegdan Terrace.

Old Belgrade Link.gif

The oldest parts of the historic centre of the town nestle directly against Kalemegdan. From the 19th century on, the administrative and political centre of Serbia in the time of Prince Miloš gradually developed here. In the area: the Orthodox Cathedral of St. Micheal the Archangel, Patriarchate, Palace of Princess Ljubica, Manak's House, Old National Library. We also recommend one of the cafés in Kosančićev venac Street, where you can enjoy the beautiful sunset.

The ? (Question Mark) Inn (Kafana)Link.gif

The ? (Question Mark) Inn is the oldest (1823) inn in Belgrade, located in downtown area (Kralja Petra I Street, No. 6).

Skadarlija Link.gif

Skadarlija is famous for its many inns and cafés, as well as for a vivid life both during day and night. After a pleasant walk down Skadarlija cobblestone, you can enjoy traditional Serbian food in one of the many restaurants, from which we recommend Dva jelena (Two Deer), Tri šešira (Three Hats), Putujući glumac (Traveling Actor)...

St. Sava Temple Link.gif

Located in the eastern part of St. Sava Square, the temple stands as the biggest religious monument in Belgrade, as well as atBalkan Peninsula, visible from every part of the city. It is dedicated to St. Sava, Serbian prince, first Serbian enlightener and first Serbian archbishop from 13th Century. In this pedestrian area, around the park, you can see the building of Serbian National Library and the monument to Duke (Vožd) Karadjordje.
